Deacon George Aziz Ishak, 79, of Old Bridge, NJ, entered the gates of heaven on Monday, May 8, 2017 in New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ruby Memorial of Hightstown, NJ. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.rubymemorialhome.com.

Born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt to the late Aziz Ishak and Victoria (Milkhail) Ishak, Deacon George lived in Alexandria & Cairo Egypt then immigrated to the US where he lived in Jersey City before moving to Old Bridge, NJ. He served as a Deacon in St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church for over 30 years and was also an accomplished accountant for the NYC Department of Sanitation for 35 years and retired in 2012.
George will be remembered by his family and friends as a man with the patience of a saint. He was the go to man to resolve any conflict. He helped and served every person that he came in contact with. He treated everyone with great respect and as part of his family. He was always there for anyone who needed him.

Deacon George is survived by his wife of 49 years, Julliette Ishak. Loving daughter Irene Hanna and her husband John Hanna and Sherry Mahfouz and husband Labib Mahfouz. Cherished grandchildren Angelica, Julianna, Nicholas, Thaddeus, Matthias and Sophia. Dear brother of Samy Mikhail, husband of Eva Zaki and their daughter Mary

The family will accept condolences on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church. The Holy Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM
The funeral prayers will start 10:30 at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church.
