Obituary for Shobhana Mahendra Patel

Our Family is sad to announce the passing of our beloved Shobhana Patel.
~~~~~~
Shobhanaben Patel, known as "Mummy" and "Amma" to her loved ones, was born on October 14, 1935, in Ahmedabad, India to Davendrabhai & Vimlaben Patel. She was the eldest of seven siblings Sudhirbhai, Minaxiben, Kishoriben, Amrishbhai, Jayendrabhai and Pallaviben. And as with most older siblings, she was loved, feared, and respected by all. She was the queen of her family and was fondly associated with the famous actor Nargis. Raised in a strict household, she was extremely proper and particular, and she took great pride in that. Her mannerism and etiquette in wearing a saree and minimal look was impeccable.
Shobhanaben was a paragon of strength and resilience as she spent a major part of her life raising her three sons after the unexpected passing of her late husband Mahendrabhai Patel. Her family meant everything to her and watching her children and later her grandchildren get married was a dream come true. She was loved and will be missed by her devoted sons and caring daughters-in-law Jai & Shefali, Parag & Sonal, and Urvish & Kalpna Patel. She will also be survived and remembered fondly by her grandchildren Dhruvin, Rushina, Nirali, Daivik, Ashna, and Harshil and her precious great grandchildren Arjun, Ishaan, and Raya.
Shobhanaben also valued her friendships and always made sure they knew that by her daily phone calls. She will be missed by her lifelong friends and her friends at the Senior Center whom she enjoyed partaking in all types of fun activities with.
