Obituary for Rao V. Kothamasu

The Kothamasu Family is sad to announce the passing of their Beloved Rao V. Kothamasu.

In Loving Memory of Sri Rao V. Kothamasu, 86, of Somerset, NJ, who passed away on
Friday, December 16, 2022. We pray to Venkateswara Swami for his departed atma to rest
in eternal peace and give strength to the family members to bear the loss of their Beloved
Rao. Ohm Shanti.


Rao was born and raised in Kathevaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. He earned his B.S. from
Loyola College and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from AMIE Institute in India. After
starting his career as a Mechanical Engineer in India and getting married, he immigrated to
the United States in 1970 to pursue his career and further education. In the United States,
he earned his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson
University.

After his career in Mechanical Engineering at Atlantic Engineering Co. in Clifton,
NJ, he pursued entrepreneurial endeavors. His love of learning and extroverted spirit will
always be remembered.

Rao is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years of marriage, Kalpakam Kothamasu, beloved daughter
Deepika Jalota and her husband Sanjay Jalota and two cherished grandchildren Dillon and Carina Jalota.
