Ramaben Rajnikant Patel, 70, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in South Plainfield, NJ, surrounded by her loving children.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Funeral Director, Christine Cuoco of Ruby Memorial. Funeral Puja, Viewing & Last Rites / Cremation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Park Crematory Chapel, 1800 State Route 27, North Brunswick, NJ 08902. Ramaben was born on June 23, 1948 in Bandhani, Gujarat, India. She earned a Masters degree in Statistics, finishing top of her class four years in a row with a gold medal honor. On October 21, 1974 she married the late Rajnikant Raojibhai Patel of Palana, Gujarat, India (born Kampala, Uganda, Africa). After marrying, she and her husband moved to the UK and they eventually emigrated to the US in 1981. She raised her family in Wilmington, DE and resided at Arista Care Cedar Oaks Indian Nursing home since 2008. Her hobbies included playing cards, sewing, reading and enjoying her rich Indian culture through Indian music, movies and cooking. Most importantly she was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Ramaben had an infectious smile and warm mild manner which will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children Monica Patel Zeitz, M.D. (Jordan), Reema Patel Antonelli (Thomas) and Chetan Rajnikant Patel. She is also survived by her grandchildren (Dylan, Alexandra, Anaya, Niccolo and Giovanni) and numerous sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews in the US and abroad.
