Obituary for Mohan Singh Tucker
On the morning of April 19, 2023 at the age of 91, Mohan Singh Tucker passed away peacefully
at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Edison, New Jersey. A gregarious and loving brother, husband,
father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Mohan was the spirit of his family and a pillar of every
one of his communities. He will live forever in our hearts.

Born in 1932 in Amritsar, Punjab (India) and settling in America in the late 1970s, Mohan lived a
full and rich life. He had an unending thirst for knowledge and new experiences, making a lasting
impression on everyone who met him. He was the “life of the party” and a true “jack-of-all
trades”. Mohan found joy in writing poetry, singing songs, playing instruments, traveling across
borders, and starting new businesses. As generous as he was in his personal interests, he was
endlessly generous with others: making new friends, supporting their ambitions, and always
fixing their problems. Most of all, he provided for his family and loved his wife.

Surrounded by family until the very end, Mohan’s memory lives on by his wife Harinder Kaur,
his two sons Meet Bahadur Singh and Charanjit Singh, his two daughters in-law, his four
grandchildren, his grandson in-law, his granddaughter in-law, and his great-grandson. A funeral
service and cremation will be held at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick, NJ on
Monday, April 24 at 9:30-11:30 am. A kirtan and Sikh prayer service will be held at the Garden
State Sikh Association Gurdwara in Bridgewater, NJ from 5-7 pm on the same day.
