Obituary for Marjorie Annette Grant

It is with deep sadness that the Grant Family announces the passing of the beloved Marjorie Annette Grant.

In Loving Memory of Marjorie Annette Grant, 69, of Coral Springs, Florida, and North Brunswick, New Jersey.

She passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 12, 2023, after a gallant battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Called by many names — Mommy, Grandma, Auntie, Auntie Annette, Ms. Annette, Marjorie and just “Grant” — she was a self-sacrificing, generous, and dedicated Christian woman who was abounding in love.

Despite our immense grief, we are comforted by the knowledge that she is dancing with the angels in glory and that her labor on earth was not in vain.

Marjorie Annette leaves behind her daughter Gail McKenzie (Trevor); grandchildren Celeste, Shamar, and Tracy; and, as the baby of 16 children, her sisters Florence “Maud,” Joan, Joyce, and Joycelyn “Miss Tiny,” brothers Fred “Ever” (Shirley), Noel (Jacqueline), Ronald, and Winston (Pauline). The nieces and nephews are too many to name but were loved beyond measure.

She was predeceased by siblings, Clayon, Edward, Eileen, Elfreida, Ezra “Jimmy,” Ioney, and Letha.

In honor of this amazing woman, the family has planned two celebrations – in New Jersey and Florida, respectively:

• January 22, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Grace Church of North Brunswick,
located at 321 Old Georges Road, North Brunswick, NJ 08902

• February 25, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Living Word Christian
Center of Coral Springs, located at 3301 Riverside Drive Coral Springs, Florida 33065

Please, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a mission's fund in her name at Grace Church of North Brunswick or Living Word Christian Center.

Arrangements are under the respectful
care and direction of Funeral Director:
Christine Cuoco of Ruby Memorial.
