In Memory of Cherine E. Acoury

Cherine E. Acoury, 52, of River Vale, NJ, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 with her family at her side.
Cherine completed her undergraduate degree in Accounting at Pace University, Pleasantville, NY; and her graduate degree in Information Systems at Stevens Institute of Technology. She was a Certified Public Accountant. Her career began in public accounting and grew into special projects at PSE&G. Her love of life and humanity was apparent in her everyday life. She is a lifetime member of the Palisades Park Ambulance Corp where she dedicated over 20+ years as a volunteer to help all in the community. As a mother, she loved every minute she had with her daughter Jessica. She loved Jessica more than anything in this world and that love was felt by all around her. Cherine took care of her mother Laurice Acoury. They were each other’s heart.
Throughout Cherine’s life, she touched souls. Her kindness, compassion and actions to help others has left indelible marks on so many lives. She will be missed and will always be loved.
Heaven truly has another angel. We will all miss Cherine and will love her forever.

The family will be accepting condolences on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm at William Basralian Funeral Service, 559 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ 07649.
Funeral Prayer Services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:30 am at Saint Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 120 Washington Avenue, Westwood, NJ 07675. Burial services will follow immediately at Westwood Cemetery, 35 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675.
Cherine was born in Cairo, Egypt, and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1971, finally settling in River Vale, NJ.
Beloved Daughter to Laurice Acoury; Beloved Sister to Richard Acoury; Devoted Mother to Jessica Levinson; Beloved Aunt to Joseph and Gabriella Acoury; Beloved Sister-in-Law to Mary Acoury; Beloved Cousin to Families Acoury, Eid, Helal, Guirguis, Saba, Khalil, Matta, Laham, Sidarous; Beloved extended family to Ghabrial, Abdelmalak, Naoum, Orrok, Andrawis.
