Obituary for Casilda Irizarry

On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, Casilda Irizarry one of the greatest warriors against cancer, passed away at age 64.

She was born on November 12, 1956, in the Dominican Republic. She was a dedicated home attendant for more than 20 years, being kind and compassionate to the elderly. She was a bird lover; she used to have birds in her house always. Her favorite store was Burlington, which she called her stress-free zone. She loved visiting her country every winter, organizing parties, and enjoying the Christmas spirit with her family and friends. Casilda loved doing puzzles and watching Caso Cerrado (a Spanish version of Judge Judy). Her favorite quote was: "Always be positive." One of the things we will never forget is her smile and her sense of humor. She always had a funny story to tell.

Casilda is survived by her three children, Katherine Romero (Kathy), Kenia Romero, Eddy Romero, and her grandchildren, Joeily Casilda, Kathlyn, Alexa, Kenangelys, Jasslindra, Kendra, Kiana, Tabatha, and Eddie Jr. Also, her sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents Jose Irizarry and Olympia Vargas.

It was her wish to be cremated and scattered in the sea. Her ashes will be scattered on private service with her children, grandchildren, and close family.
